y friends Bill and Laura and I decide to drive to Staten Island to go horseback riding and look at Fresh Kills, the gigantic landfill on Staten Island. Well, we look at Fresh Kills, but the riding academy Laura had seen from the highway had just been sold and no longer was Too bad. So we drive the long, scenic route to Sandy Hook beach and the old garrison there.
