Personally, we like the terms "people," "alters," "inside people," etc. We
will accept "personalities" but aren't crazy about it. What's most
important to us is that we are seen as a collective, and not as Cyndi who
has a bunch of parts (or even a bunch of alters). We feel very strongly
that we are all equal and no one of us is more important than any other
(though of course we have different roles and spend vastly different
amounts of time being out and aware). Cyndi is always present, and she is
the host, but she is not the "main person" or the most important and she is
the first to agree with that statement.
